For Mac, iPad and iPhone

KNX Atlas is a native app for macOS 26, iPadOS 26 and iOS 26 or later. The interface adapts to the device: windows, inspector and menu commands on the Mac, portrait and landscape on the iPad, tabs with their own navigation on the iPhone.

Large projects need memory; on devices with little memory the app points this out. An Android or Windows version is not announced.

The specific file decides

KNX Atlas works with ETS6 project files (.knxproj) and product files (.knxprod). Support depends on the archive format, the data schema and the product constructs used.

A file ending in .knxproj is therefore not yet a promise that every view and every change is supported. Opening and editing are two different questions; where something cannot be processed, the app says so at the affected device.

The bus needs KNXnet/IP

Monitor, group values, diagnosis and commissioning use KNXnet/IP tunnelling – plain or with KNX IP Secure. The number of tunnel slots of the interface decides which tools can work at the same time.

USB interfaces and IP routing are not supported. Searching the KNX Online Catalog requires an internet connection.

Deliberate limits

Some limits are worth knowing before you use KNX Atlas in an installation.

  • Way back to ETS

    ETS opens a project written by KNX Atlas only after re-signing.

  • No automatic backup

    Unsaved changes in the editor can be lost.

  • Release list

    Applications that are not proven load only at your own risk.

  • Data Secure

    Loading Data Secure devices is limited to verified applications.

Development status and release

This website describes preview 0.10 of KNX Atlas, which is currently being tested. Features may change before release.

Date, price and distribution are not decided yet, so there is no download button here. If you have a question about a specific workflow, feel free to send an email – with platform, project format and task, but without passwords or confidential project data.
